"The Guardians" : Oak1 and Oak 2
"oak1 " and "oak2"
The fragility of washi paper in opposition to the brutal force of nature, here represented by images of oak trees.
Eco, because hand made paper is totally in an ecological way of living and practice. Sublime, because these majestuous trees are beyond beauty, overwhelming us by there age and height.
Triptych in reference to the sacred.
The title of these two triptychs (The Guardians) makes reference to the two oaks at the two ends of my garden, because we believe that they help us to keep away bad influencies from the nextdoor cemetery...
